Lesson 2

All about Jack

This text is about Jack. The story answers these questions:

Who is Jack’s flatmate?

Whose neighbour is called Elizabeth?

How is the weather in California?

When is Jack’s break?

What is his job?

Where is he from?

Why is he not always on time for work?

How long is his journey to work?

Which is his favourite food?

Here is Jack’s story:

Jack is from England. He is not American but he lives in Hollywood. The weather in California isn’t bad. Jack is friends with William. William is his flatmate. Jack is in love with Elizabeth. She is his neighbour. Jack and Elizabeth are not flatmates.

Jack is a cook. He works in an Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. But his favourite food is Chinese. It isn’t Italian.

Jack is not always punctual for work because he takes the train every day. I am not sure the trains are always on time. His journey to work is not too long: about twenty minutes.

Jack has a break at five p.m.
